Gates open 2 hours before the start time - you easily see visitors taking BP, but you pretty much have to get in right when the gates open to see the Cubbies take BP. If you want to pregame, get to Wrigleyville at least 3 hours beforehand, then plan on actually being in the park 20 minutes or so before game time.

As others have said, if you only plan on 10-15 I wouldn't do it. It's hard to dump tickets and for the price, you're better off just buying individual games. I really only recommend season tickets if going to the Cubs is "your thing" or if it's collegiate athletics and you supporting them. Otherwise you should literally want to go to every game.
